ABOUT INTERIOR PREP STUDIO
Interior Prep Studio is an independent, online study platform for the NCIDQ exams. We bring lessons, practice, and progress tools into a structured learning environment designed to help you study with purpose—one concept, one question, and one next step at a time.
Prepare with clarity. Design with confidence.

Our purpose
Preparing for an exam can feel like a second job. Between project deadlines, personal commitments, and a growing list of subjects to review, it can be difficult to know what deserves your attention next.
Our purpose is to make that process more organized and approachable. Interior Prep Studio brings structure to your preparation, creating space to understand the material, work through questions, and return to the areas that need more attention.
We believe exam preparation should go beyond memorizing answers. It should encourage you to ask why a decision makes sense, recognize the constraints in a scenario, and connect what you are learning to the responsibilities of interior design practice.
Our goal is not simply to give you more to study. It is to help you make better use of the time you have.
Our approach
A study routine should give you a clear place to begin and a useful next step.
Work through focused lessons and organized learning paths. Build your understanding of the concepts before asking yourself to apply them under pressure.
Apply what you are learning through questions and timed practice. Review explanations, examine your reasoning, and use mistakes to guide your next study session.
Use your practice history and progress tools to identify areas that deserve another look. Return to challenging topics and build a routine you can sustain.
Study Readiness is an internal study-planning tool. It is not an official CIDQ score, a validated probability of passing, or a prediction of your exam result.

A useful study platform should help you do more than move through content. It should help you revisit ideas, apply your knowledge, and decide what to work on next.
Work through organized material at a pace that fits your schedule, and return to challenging concepts when you need another look.
Look beyond whether an answer is right or wrong. Review the reasoning and references to strengthen your understanding.
Practice managing your time, sustaining your attention, and working through a sequence of questions before reviewing your attempt.
Revisit key concepts between longer study sessions and keep important ideas part of your routine.
Use your activity and practice results to recognize patterns and identify areas for focused review.
Ask follow-up questions about lessons and practice material to explore concepts from another angle.
AI support is a study aid, not an authoritative source. It can make mistakes. Verify important explanations against the cited references and official exam resources.
Who we serve
Whether you are beginning your preparation, studying alongside a demanding work schedule, or returning to a section after an earlier attempt, our aim is the same: to offer a clear, practical place to continue learning.
You do not need a perfect study routine to take a useful next step. Start with the section that matters to you, identify what needs attention, and build from there.
Our commitment
We want you to understand what you are choosing. Our practice materials are study resources—not official NCIDQ exam questions—and our progress indicators are intended to support your preparation, not promise an outcome.
We do not guarantee a passing result. Your preparation, circumstances, and performance are individual, and no practice score can determine what will happen on exam day.
Questions and concerns deserve a clear place to go. If you notice something that needs clarification or believe a lesson or explanation contains an error, contact us and identify the material so it can be assessed.
